Pico laser technology
Laser Tattoo Removal
Advanced pico laser technology that works on all colours and all skin types. Safe, effective, and available from dedicated treatment studios across Leeds and Yorkshire.
How pico laser removal works
Pico laser delivers ultra-short pulses of energy measured in picoseconds — one trillionth of a second. These pulses shatter ink particles into tiny fragments that your immune system naturally flushes away. Because the pulses are so fast, there is less heat transfer to surrounding tissue, meaning faster fading, fewer sessions, and a lower risk of scarring compared to older nanosecond lasers.
Free consultation
We assess your tattoo in person — ink colours, depth, skin type, and your removal goals. You get an honest timeline and a fixed price before anything starts.
Treatment session
The laser handpiece is passed over the tattoo. Most clients describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snap. Sessions typically last 15–45 minutes depending on tattoo size.
Healing & fading
Over the following 6–8 weeks your immune system clears the shattered ink. You'll see progressive fading between each session.
Repeat until clear
Sessions are spaced 6–8 weeks apart to allow full healing. Most tattoos require 6–12 sessions to achieve significant clearance or full removal.

Common questions
Most clients describe it as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. We use a cooling device during treatment to minimise discomfort. Pain tolerance varies, but the sessions are short.
Most tattoos require between 6 and 12 sessions for significant clearance. The exact number depends on ink colours, tattoo age, depth, and your skin type. We'll give you a realistic estimate at your free consultation.
We recommend a minimum of 6–8 weeks between sessions. This gives your immune system time to flush the shattered ink and your skin time to fully heal.
Pico laser achieves excellent results on most tattoos, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed for every case. Factors like ink colour, depth, and skin type all play a role. We'll be honest with you about what to expect.
Absolutely. Many clients use laser to fade a tattoo enough for a tattoo artist to cover it with a new design. This often requires fewer sessions than full removal.
